Creating something with the help of others is fundamental; every time an image is involved, this requires the involvement and creativity of many individuals. When I am on set with my collaborators from the director of photography to the costume and set designers; from the sound engineer to the cameramen who handle even the smallest details, it is very important to share what we are doing. The film, Rewind, is an affirmation of how much effort occurs behind the scenes, not just in terms of manufacturing steps, but in terms of people involved.
Made in Italy carries with it an idea of uniqueness in every field. Elegance is a word that is extremely beautiful, but very difficult to define. My personal opinion is that elegance comes from careful study and a remarkable attention to detail, but that it also requires just as much care, attention and time to ensure that all of this work is hidden in order to give it back to the world with a naturalness that does not appear artificial.
