From evening to morning for re-integration
Every day, a group of 5 or 6 volunteers takes a van around Milan to distribute food, water and basic items to the homeless as part of a project called “From evening to morning for re-integration”. A professional with specific expertise is also present and becomes a sort of reference point for those in need, able to help them regain the motivation and drive to move towards social re-integration. The name of the project speaks for itself: moving from darkness to light, coming out of a tunnel, the return to a life full of energy and positivity.
The professional, as a reference point, can answer questions and provide advice. He or she is there to discuss the hardship and fear that come from living on the street, especially if it has been for a long period of time during which the concepts of personal identity, community and faith are put to the test. No re-integration is rapid and linear, but each path begins with an evening encounter that turns into a daytime meeting and transforms into a personalized life project that is shared with the person: this is the way to success.
